Happiness in the United States: if you live here, you could receive a $120M aid soon

Millions of families in the United States will receive $120 in assistance to help feed the youngest ones during this summer

This summer, millions of families in the United States will be able to count on some extra relief thanks to a program that aims to ease child food insecurity. With the arrival of school vacations, many children lose access to the free or reduced-price meals they receive during the school year. To address this issue, the Summer EBT 2025 program will provide $120 per child, which can be used to purchase food.

The Summer EBT program, an initiative that has gained importance in recent years, aims to provide financial relief to families with children during the school break. About 35 states have confirmed their participation in the 2025 edition. Although some states have chosen not to take part this year, most families who rely on school assistance to feed their children will benefit.

What is the Summer EBT 2025 program?

The Summer EBT 2025 program is designed to help families cover food expenses during the summer. During this period, children who normally receive food through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals will be able to access a $120 voucher per child.

In many cases, beneficiaries won't need to submit an additional application, since the benefits will be granted automatically to those who are already enrolled in food assistance programs.

This approach aims to make the process easier and more accessible for the families who need it most. This way, the program not only focuses on supporting children's nutrition. It also makes it easier for those who already benefit from other food services to access food.
