It's official: Thousands of Americans will receive the $725 stimulus payment today.

This is a financial support for families with children aged 0 to 5 years (0 a 5 años) that continues. These are the payment dates and conditions

Not all economic stimulus in the United States comes from the federal government. Some local initiatives are making a real impact in specific communities that need it most. One of these programs is moving forward steadily with a clear payment schedule.

In Sacramento, the focus goes beyond one-time aid. The priority is to offer a stable support network to families with young children. That is being achieved through a pilot project that has already started depositing money every month.

A program that transforms family finances

The Family First Economic Support Pilot Program (FFESP) is an initiative from Sacramento County. Its goal is to directly support families with children between 0 and 5 years old who are in a vulnerable economic situation. To achieve this, they are given a guaranteed monthly income for one year.

Each beneficiary receives $725 per month, a fixed amount that is transferred on the 15th of each month. The first payment was issued on June 15, 2025, and it is scheduled to continue until July 15, 2026. This means a total of 12 consecutive deposits, as long as the requirements set by the program are met.

In addition to the money, participants have access to financial counseling and other community services. The goal is not only to ease immediate financial burdens but also to strengthen family stability in the long term.

Who can receive the $725 payments?

FFESP has clear eligibility criteria. First, applicants must live in one of these Sacramento County zip codes: 95815, 95821, 95823, 95825, 95828, or 95838. They must also be parents or legal guardians of a child under 6 years old.

The annual household income must be below 200% of the federal poverty level. For example, a family of four can't exceed $62,400 per year (52,000 €), and if there are more members in the household, the limit increases proportionally. Another key requirement is not participating in any other guaranteed income program; the purpose is to ensure that the support reaches those who have not yet received this type of aid.

Next key date: August 15

Those already enrolled in the program will receive the next payment on August 15, 2025. That is the date marked on the calendar for the third monthly delivery of the $725 stimulus. As always, it will be made by direct deposit.

The program has randomly selected 200 families to participate in this pilot experience. The results are expected to help design more effective and empathetic public policies in the future. Meanwhile, hundreds of households with young children in Sacramento continue to receive this ongoing support, and the next deposit is already confirmed.
