Some products we use daily may hide risks that go unnoticed. Sometimes, those mistakes don't come from the content, but from the process that produces it. When that happens, the consequences can affect thousands of households.
This has happened with a very common item on the shelves of major chains in the U.S. The news became known after a firm decision made by its own manufacturers. A recall that has been coordinated with the country's top health authority.

More than 67,000 boxes affected: this is what is known
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed the recall of thousands of Power Stick deodorants. This is a voluntary recall after irregularities were found in its production. The company responsible is A.P Deauville, based in Pennsylvania.
The alert affects roll-on presentations of 1.8 oz (53 ml). In total, more than 67,000 boxes distributed at Walmart, Dollar Tree, and Amazon. The products were sold under the "Power Stick for Her," "Invisible Protection," and "Original Nourishing" lines.

The variants and quantities recalled are as follows: 21,265 boxes of the Powder Fresh scent, 22,482 of Spring Fresh, and 23,467 of the Original Invisible deodorant. The distribution was nationwide, affecting the entire country. The recall is preventive and aims to avoid possible risks.
How to identify the affected lots
The most reliable way to check if you have an affected product is to review the lot number. This number is printed on the deodorant packaging; if it matches any of those listed by the FDA, you should take action. Some of the affected lots include: 032026B011, 051626C241, 071226D381, and others like them.
Both the feminine and neutral versions are among those recalled; the full list is available on A.P Deauville's official channels. Consumers should stop using the product immediately. It is recommended to keep the packaging and note the lot number; afterwards, they should contact the manufacturer to find out how to proceed.
What to do if you have one at home
The company has set up customer service channels to handle exchanges or refunds. You can request information on how to return or safely dispose of the product. The entire process is supervised by the FDA.
This recall doesn't pose an immediate health risk, but there are potential consequences if the products continue to be used. The measure aims to ensure consumer safety. A.P Deauville insists it has acted out of responsibility.
The company manufactures its products in facilities it claims are regulated by the FDA. The Power Stick brand was acquired by A.P Deauville more than 20 years ago. Since then, it has been present in the country's main chains.
