The future of João Félix has taken a huge turn in the last few hours, with the departure of the Portuguese who has his days numbered. Chelsea , with the intervention of Jorge Mendes, has changed everything in an operation that was heading towards the departure of Samu Omorodion . The forward from Melilla is now returning to Spain and will join the Atlético team in the next few days.
In the case of João Félix , several clubs have enquired about him this summer, with Aston Villa at the forefront. According to sources very close to the Birmingham club, Monchi is furious with Atlético de Madrid and the player's agents. They have found out about the Portuguese's operation with the 'blues' through Twitter and social networks, something they consider absolutely unacceptable.
Monchi: We are not going to raise a single euro
"We are not going to raise a single euro for João Félix," the 'Villains' had planned an offer of around 50 million for the Portuguese. An offer with an option to buy for the English, which would not be obligatory. At Aston Villa they feel used and deceived by Atlético de Madrid and by the Portuguese's agents .
Chelsea could offer up to 60 million with variables, plus the inclusion of Conor Gallagher , with whom everything has been agreed.
They have contacted both to express their anger and that they feel they have been taken for a ride. They are not going to move an inch further for the signing of João Félix, so officially, Aston Villa are withdrawing from the race. The Portuguese is now finalising his move to Chelsea, a club he was at between January 2023 and July 2023 .
Potter, Bruno and Lampard
During his time at Stamford Bridge , João Félix played 20 games for the 'Blues', scoring four goals for the London side . He had three managers: Graham Potter , the first of them, with the former Brighton player scoring two goals in ten games, playing 767 minutes. Bruno Saltor was the second, after Potter 's dismissal, 85 minutes in what was his only game.
Under Frank James Lampard , he played another nine games, scoring two goals, but in 341 minutes of play. At the end of the season, Lampard was sacked and Mauricio Pochettino , the new coach, decided not to count on him. The Argentine was clear that João Félix would not fit into his system and the 'blues' returned him to Atlético de Madrid .
Barça returns to Atlético
Last summer was the most tense with João Félix , until after so much speculation, he left for FC Barcelona . It was the last day of the transfer market, and in a loan operation without an option to buy. Xavi Hernández was not sure about his arrival, but he bet on him all the time and the Portuguese did deserve it.
He played 44 games for the 'culés', scoring ten goals and providing six assists, in a total of 2163 minutes of play. He scored two goals against Atlético de Madrid as a 'culé', but they have not tried to buy him at any time. He returned to Atlético this summer, and has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist this preseason with the red and white team.
