Gonzalo Miró shows his optimism before the classic against Real Madrid: 'El Atleti...'

The famous contributor spoke about this Saturday's classic

This Saturday, starting at 9:00 PM, one of the most important derbies in LaLiga history will be played at Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid arrives as the leader of the competition, leading by just one point over its main pursuer, Atlético de Madrid. Simeone's team took advantage of the whites' defeat against Espanyol to cut three points and have the chance to emerge as leaders next weekend.

The match will paralyze the football world and is already, aside from Real Madrid's complaints about refereeing, the center of most sports discussions. During "El Partidazo de COPE," the famous collaborator and supporter of Atlético de Madrid, Gonzalo Miró, spoke about the match.

A very balanced match

During the program's broadcast, Miró was asked about his point of view on the match, to which he replied. "I'm optimistic, I see both, at this moment, almost equally irregular, capable of having good and not so good moments. Atlético de Madrid, even losing, will continue competing for the championship, so they should relieve themselves of that pressure".

Simeone's team has the opportunity to seize the leadership at their eternal rival's home, which arrives with doubts and injuries. In case of victory, the colchoneros would leave Santiago Bernabéu leading by two points over Real Madrid. Therefore, they have a unique opportunity, although in case of defeat, they will remain in the fight.

A more consistent Atlético

Despite Gonzalo Miró commenting that he sees both teams as quite irregular, the reality is different. Atlético de Madrid has 15 victories in the last 17 matches, having only lost one and drawn another. In both matches they didn't win, they clearly deserved victory, so they are not, at all, an irregular team.

They are second in LaLiga and have finished fifth in the Champions League, directly accessing the round of 16. Additionally, today they play against Getafe for a place in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey, a competition the club hasn't lifted in 15 years.
