The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, has once again sparked controversy with explosive statements about Real Madrid and its president, Florentino Pérez. In an interview with The Objective, Tebas did not hesitate to criticize the victimizing discourse of the white club, especially for its complaints about referees.
Tebas Criticizes Real Madrid's Narrative: "They're Crying All Day"
The top leader of LaLiga was blunt when referring to Real Madrid's stance on refereeing decisions. According to Tebas, the white club has built a "false narrative" through its official channel, casting doubt on the integrity of Spanish soccer.

"From Real Madrid TV they create controversy and write a false narrative, manipulating everything. I know many Madridists who do not agree with this. Real Madrid is a crybaby club, they're crying all day. They cry for the weekend, they'll cry for the next one, and everything is the fault of a conspiracy."
For Tebas, these complaints are nothing more than a strategy to pressure referees and influence future decisions. He also compared the situation with other clubs, making it clear that Madrid is the only one that consistently maintains this stance.
The Use of VAR and Florentino's Power in Spanish Soccer
Another topic Tebas addressed was the use of VAR. He stated that since the famous phrase "Everything OK, José Luis," video refereeing has been used excessively. He linked this change to Florentino Pérez's call to the then-president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales.

"Since then, VAR is used excessively. We want to change the refereeing system, but if you ask other clubs, they'll tell you that Madrid and Barça are the most benefited. It's just that they don't have a television to say it." Tebas didn't stop there and also attacked Florentino's vision of soccer, accusing him of wanting to concentrate power only in the richest clubs.
"Florentino's soccer deceives people. It represents oligarchic soccer, only for the rich. He wants to decide everything: the money that is distributed, who is in charge. A part of Madridism makes the mistake of venerating everything Florentino does and saying that everything is fine."
