Atlético de Madrid has been following Cristhian Mosquera, one of the biggest defensive promises in Spanish soccer, for some time. However, the competition for the Valencia CF center-back keeps increasing. Now, two giants of Serie A, Juventus and AC Milan, have set their sights on the defender, complicating the plans of Gil Marín and the Atlético team.
Mosquera, a Highly Valued Center-Back
At 21 years old, Mosquera has established himself as an undisputed starter in the defense of Valencia CF, first under the guidance of Rubén Baraja and now with Carlos Corberán. His great performance hasn't gone unnoticed, and several clubs from Italy, England, and Germany have started to monitor his situation.

Atlético de Madrid has been interested in him for some time, as they seek reinforcements for the center of the defense. With the possible departure of Azpilicueta and Witsel in 2025, and uncertainty about Lenglet's continuity, Mosquera is seen as a strategic signing for the future of the rojiblanco club.
Juventus and Milan Join the Bid
The big problem for Atlético is that the interest in Mosquera isn't limited to Spain. In recent days, journalist Nicolò Schira has revealed that both Juventus and AC Milan are willing to fight for his signing. Additionally, in the Premier League, several teams have also shown interest, and in England, the financial power of the clubs could make Valencia accept an offer hard to refuse.
As if that weren't enough, Inter Milan has also been keeping an eye on his development, while in Germany, Bayern Munich isn't losing sight of him. The player's contractual situation, which ends in 2026, works against Valencia, as if they don't manage to renew him soon, his market value could drop considerably.
Valencia Rejected an Offer in Winter
Last January, Valencia CF already made it clear that they don't intend to give away Mosquera. Lazio tried to take him in the winter market with a loan and mandatory purchase option, but the response from Mestalla was a resounding "no." In Singapore, Peter Lim knows that his young star is a valuable asset, and if he leaves this summer, it will be for an amount close to 25 million euros.

His agent, Sergio Barila, has also been clear about his future: "Mosquera doesn't want to leave at this moment. His only goal is to help Valencia achieve their objectives. Many clubs have inquired about him, but for now, he only thinks about his team. We'll analyze the situation later."
