Problems at Atlético de Madrid: The New Fernando Torres Has Offers, Confirmed

The Atlético club will have to make a move if it doesn't want to lose one of the great talents it has in its youth academy.

Atlético de Madrid sees the debut of Rayane Belaid, the great jewel that Fernando Torres has in the reserve team, getting closer. The player, born in Orihuela but of Algerian descent, plays with the Spanish national team and was the Under-19 European Champion with the team led by José Lana. He is one of the most promising footballers in the red-and-white club and in whom everyone has high hopes.

Rayane Belaid has a contract with Atlético until 2027, and he is represented by David Villa's group, although there are already movements regarding his future. The player wants to renew with Atleti and make his debut as soon as possible under Simeone's orders. He has already been in recent call-ups, the first being against Cacereño for the Copa del Rey, without being able to make his debut.

He also couldn't do it in Salzburg, in the Champions League match where Simeone sent him to warm up but opted to bring in Thomas Lemar. The last call Rayane received from Cholo was to be drafted against Mallorca at the Metropolitano, although he didn't get any minutes either. The player is not anxious about that moment and appreciates gaining experiences like traveling with his idols.

Waiting for a Gesture from the Club

According to journalist Marcos Durán in RELEVO, Rayane already has some Premier League teams that have inquired about him. The player and his agents are waiting for a call from the club to renew that contract. Subsequently, looking toward the next season, it is quite feasible that a loan to a First Division team will be sought so he can make the leap to the elite.

Deportivo Alavés, a club experienced in youth development and specifically in Atlético de Madrid's, could be his destination. They say that in Vitoria they are considering repeating the formula with Giuliano Simeone, or the more recent one with Carlos Martín. Rayane is set to be the next, although his mind is focused on finishing the season with the reserve team and taking it as high as possible.

Arabia, Alavés, and the Premier on Alert

Not only the Premier League is closely following his situation, Saudi Arabia, which is a league expert in targeting young talents, is not losing track of him. Players like Iker Almena, Aarón Martín, Unai Hernández, Alejandro Vergaz, or Carlos Jiménez have recently bet on the Arab project. Leaving clubs like Betis, Levante, Girona, or even FC Barcelona, the Arabs are serious.

Rayane has played 21 matches this season with Fernando Torres's team in Primera RFEF, where he has scored 5 goals and provided one assist. He also has another 5 matches with the Under-19 in the Youth League where he has scored another three goals. In total, he has accumulated 26 matches, 8 goals, and one assist, figures that indicate he is about to explode at 19 years old.
