The Four Clubs Willing to Finance Simeone's Signing of Álex Baena: Official

Madrileños expect significant income from the sale of a player who no longer belongs to the club.

The future of Samu Aghehowa seems to be far from Portugal. The forward from FC Porto is one of the sensations in Europe, and major clubs have set their sights on him. This is something that Atlético de Madrid is very alert to, as they know they can receive money from his sale.

Samu has scored 14 goals in 21 league matches played, just behind Viktor Gyökeres in the top scorers' table. At just 20 years old, his level and ability to find the goal make him a very special footballer. Atlético de Madrid decided not to count on him for this season and to sell him, in order to invest in signings.

The Premier League Is Coming

In recent years, the Premier League is the competition where the most money is moved. This is why Samu's name has been linked to many of the best clubs there. Now, according to reports from England, Newcastle has marked the Spaniard as a target for the summer.

This is because their forward, Alexander Isak, is on the agenda of the best teams across Europe. He could leave for a price of 150 million euros, so Newcastle would need to look for a replacement. In this situation, they know that signing Samu Aghehowa would be a guarantee for the present and the future, making him a very interesting option.

Atlético de Madrid Is Very alert

The future of Samu Aghehowa has a lot to do with Atlético de Madrid. The red-and-white club, when they sold him this summer for 15 million euros, transferred only 50% of the player's rights. However, Porto can acquire an additional 15% this summer for just five million.

His current clause at the Portuguese club is 100 million euros, and they are not willing to negotiate. If he leaves for that amount this summer, Atlético de Madrid could receive either 50 or 35 million (in case the Portuguese acquire the extra 15%). In other words, the red-and-white club's transfer market could be significantly influenced by the sale of their former forward, who could leave a good amount of money in the club's coffers.
