Costco keeps growing in the United States
August brings great news for Costco fans. The brand has confirmed the opening of seven new stores in the United States and three abroad. This represents a great opportunity for shoppers who still do not have the Costco experience near home.
On August 5, Rimouski, Quebec, opened its new store. One day later, on August 6, Florida celebrated the opening of its 36th store, located in The Villages. On August 7, Costco arrived in Mexico with a new branch in the north of Guadalajara.
Today, August 9, Washington is celebrating the opening of its 36th store in the Richland shopping center. On the 15th, it will be Texas’s turn, which will have a new branch, and the month will end with the opening of the store in Spring Valley, Nevada, on August 21.
In addition to the new stores in the United States, Costco’s international expansion will continue this month. On August 20, East Newmarket, Ontario, will open its doors with a new store. In total, there are seven new Costco openings:

- The Villages, Florida (August 6).
- North Guadalajara, Mexico (August 7).
- Richland, Washington (August 8).
- Allen, Texas (August 15).

Costco fans have not taken long to show their excitement on social media. On Facebook, a shopper commented: "One is going to open 1 mi. (1.6 km) from me! I'm in trouble!" Others, hoping that Costco will come even closer, have suggested new locations, such as Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain, in Utah. Not everyone is so close to a Costco: one of the comments mentioned that the nearest one was an hour and a half away.
