Costco and Oreo stun Walmart: the new release that's driving the US wild

Oreo launches a new dessert exclusively at Costco that's shaking the rest of its competitors

At this point, it's no surprise that Oreo is once again taking over. The brand has been surprising consumers with new products almost every week for months. Each launch generates a flood of comments, lines, and unbeatable sales.

First, there were six new snacks that broke records. Then, the unexpected collaboration with Post Malone arrived. Later, they added a new permanent flavor to its already extensive catalog.

A new temptation at Costco

Now, Oreo is back in full force, joining forces with Junior’s, the legendary New York bakery famous for its cheesecakes. Together, they've created a dessert that's leaving fans speechless.

It's the new Oreo Little Fellas, mini cheesecakes with Oreo's unmistakable flavor. You can only get them at Costco in an exclusive six-pack format.

"Dangerously" delicious desserts

According to those who've already tried them, these mini cheesecakes are creamy, sweet, and totally addictive. Each one weighs 4 oz. (113 g) and includes a baked Oreo base and a whole cookie on top. "I'm usually not much of an Oreo person, but I don't regret it at all," wrote a Reddit user.

The portions are individual, and many even recommend splitting them in half. That way, they become the perfect dessert after a meal. Some are already warning: "It's dangerous to have them at home, you can't eat just one."

An exclusive format you won't find at Walmart

While other stores sell them individually, Costco offers the six-pack box. That detail has made the difference between a simple launch and a viral phenomenon. It's not the first time the chain has succeeded with Junior’s products.

During last Christmas, Costco sold holiday cheesecakes at a third of the usual price. In spring, it surprised consumers with the peanut butter version. Now it's doing so with the most successful flavor: Oreo.

For now, these mini cheesecakes have only been seen in the Northeast region. They've also appeared in some stores in California, Ohio, and Washington. Their price is $11.99, but there's no guarantee they'll be available for long.
